Schutzprofil / Protection Profile
Der EVG (Evaluationsgegenstand) ist das Schutzprofil "Protection Profile V2X Hardware Security Module", Version 1.0.1, und wurde vom CAR 2 CAR Communication Consortium entwickelt.
Der EVG-Typ ist ein Hardwaresicherheitsmodul (HSM) und besteht aus Hardware und Software. Dokumentation mit Anweisungen zur Integration und zum Betrieb des EVGs in seiner angedachten Arbeitsumgebung sind ebenfalls Teil des EVGs. Das V2X HSM (V2X steht für vehicle-to-anything; Übersetzung: Fahrzeug zu irgendwas) implementiert Funktionalität für sichere kryptographische Operationen und Schlüsselmanagement. Der EVG dient einer Kommunikationsschnittstelle (VCS steht für Vehicle C-ITS Station; Übersetzung: C-ITS-Station im Fahrzeug) im Rahmen eines Cooperative Intelligent Transport System (C-ITS; Übersetzung: kooperatives und intelligentes Transportsystem). Der EVG ist für den mobilen Einsatz in Fahrzeugen oder stationären Einrichtungen gedacht. Der EVG kann mit integriertem oder externen VCS implementiert werden. Der EVG nutzt nur eine Schnittstelle zum VCS. Zudem sind unterschiedliche Implementierungen eines EVGs möglich. Im Sinne der SOG-IS-Terminologie kann ein EVG als Smartcard and Similar Devices oder Hardware Devices with Security Boxes implementiert werden.
The TOE is the Protection Profile with the title "Protection Profile V2X Hardware Security Module", Version 1.0.1, written by the CAR 2 CAR Communication Consortium. The TOE type is a Hardware Security Module (HSM) and consists of hardware and software. Guidance documentation for the integration and operation of the TOE in its intended environment is also included.
The V2X HSM (vehicle-to-anything hardware security module) implements functionality for secure cryptographic operations and key management. The TOE serves a communication device (VCS) in a Cooperative Intelligent Transport System (C-ITS). The TOE is intended to be used in vehicles or in stationary deployments. The TOE can be implemented with external or with integrated VCS, respectively. The TOE only provides an interface to the VCS. Moreover, different instantiations of the TOE are possible. More generally in SOG-IS terms, the TOE might be implemented as Smartcard and Similar Devices or Hardware Devices with Security Boxes.
