Der Evaluierungsgegenstand (EVG) ist der Standardleser gemäß BSI [TR-03119] ein Kartenleser mit PIN-Pad. Der EVG wird für die Nutzung der eID-Funktion des neuen Personalausweises eingesetzt. Der Zweck des EVG ist, die Rolle des Lesegeräts bei der Ausführung von PACE gemäß BSI [TR-03110] zu übernehmen und eine PIN-Verwaltung mit sicherer PIN-Eingabe zu ermöglichen. Aus technischer Sicht ist der EVG ein separates Gerät, welches mit einem Rechner verbunden ist.
The Target of Evaluation (TOE) is the Standard Reader according to BSI [TR-03119] a Smart Card Reader with PIN-Pad. The TOE is used with the eID functions of the new German electronic identity card. The purpose of the TOE is to perform the terminal part of PACE according to [TR-03110] and to offer PIN-Management with secure PIN-Entry. From a technical view, the TOE is a separate device and connected to the host computer.
