Schutzprofil / Protection Profile
Der im Schutzprofil beschriebene Evaluierugsgegenstand (EVG) ist ein kryptographisches Modul, das empfohlene (endorsed) kryptographischen Sicherheitsfunktionen implementiert und resistent gegen Angriffe mit erweitertem niedrigen (Enhanced-Basic) Angriffspotenzial ist. Diese Sicherheitsfunktionen gewährleisten die Vertraulichkeit und die Integrität von Benutzerdaten und bieten Sicherheitsdienste nach einer Sicherheitspolitik eines IT-Systems. Der EVG verwaltet und schützt die kryptographischen Schlüssel, die für diese Sicherheitsfunktionen verwendet werden. Der EVG kann ein Stand-alone-Modul oder ein eingebettetes Modul sein.
The Target of Evaluation (TOE) described in the PP is a cryptographic module that implements Endorsed cryptographic security functions with secret or private cryptographic keys and which is resistant against Enhanced-Basic attack potential. These Endorsed cryptographic security functions protect the confidentiality and/or the ntegrity of user data and provide security services according to a security policy of an IT system. The TOE uses, manages and protects the cryptographic keys for these Endorsed cryptographic security functions.The PP allows the TOE to be a stand-alone cryptographic module or an embedded cryptographic module.
