Dieses Schutzprofil definiert die Sicherheitsziele und Anforderungen für die elektronische Sicherheitsmodul-Karte Typ B, basierend auf den Regularien des deutschen Gesundheitssystems. Es beschreibt die Sicherheitsdienste, die durch diese Karte bereitgestellt werden. Der Evaluierungsgegenstand (EVG) ist die als kontaktbasierte Smartcard realisierte Sicherheitsmodul-Karte Typ B.
The protection profile defines the security objectives and requirements for the Security Module Card Type B (SMC Type B, German: "Sicherheitsmodul-Karte Typ B") based on the regulations for the German health care system. It addresses the security services provided by this card. The Target of Evaluation (TOE) is the Security Module Card Type B (SMC Type B, German "Sicherheitsmodul-Karte Typ B") realised as a contact based smart card.
