Der Evaluierungsgegenstand ist das Smart Meter Gateway “SMGW Version 2.1” bestehend aus der “SMGW Software”, Version 2.2.0 und der “SMGW Hardware”, Version 2.0.
Das Smart Meter Gateway stellt die Kommunikationseinheit innerhalb eines intelligenten Messsystems dar. Die Hauptfunktionalität des Gateways besteht im Empfang und der Speicherung von Mess- und Statuswerten angeschlossener Zähler sowie der Verarbeitung und Versendung dieser Mess- und Statuswerte an berechtigte Instanzen, darüberhinaus stellt das Smart Meter Gateway den sicheren CLS Kommunikationskanal für nachgelagerte Systemeinheiten zur Verfügung.

In dieser partiellen ALC-Re-Zertifizierung wurde die zertifizierte Produktionsumgebung um einen neuen Standort erweitert.
Dieser wurde durch die Prüfstelle TÜV Informationstechnik GmbH geprüft und durch die Zertifizierungsstelle des BSI zertifiziert, sodass nun auch an einem zweiten Standort der Firma WEPTECH elektronik GmbH SMGWs produziert werden können.In this partial ALC-re-certification the certified production environment was Extended by a new site.

Das SMGW, Version 1.2.2 wurde geändert, um die Widerstandsfähigkeit gegen schlechte Mobilfunknetze während des Aufbaus der WAN-Verbindung zu verbessern und eine Bestückungsvariante der Kommunikationsadapter, die nicht zum EVG gehören, zu ergänzen.

Diese Re-Zertifizierung wurde wegen Änderungen an der Entwicklungs- und Produktionsumgebung sowie daraus resultierenden Anpassungen der Herstellerdokumente durchgeführt, die im Rahmen des Verfahrens geprüft wurden. Die Implementierung des EVG blieb unverändert. Die Schwachstellenanalyse wurde nach aktuellen Stand der Technik wiederholt. Das Zertifikat fasst die bislang zertifizierten Versionen des EVG "SMGW-Integrationsmodul Version 1.0", "SMGW Version 1.1", "SMGW Version 1.1.1" und "SMGW Version 1.1.2" in der Version "SMGW Version 1.2" zusammen.
This recertification was conducted due to changes concerning the development and production sites as well as consequential changes in the developer documentation, which were evaluated in the course of the certification. The TOE implementation representation remained unchanged. The vulnerability assessment was repeated considering state-of-the-art attack scenarios. The certificate covers the already certified TOE versions "SMGW-Integrationsmodul Version 1.0", "SMGW Version 1.1", "SMGW Version 1.1.1" and "SMGW Version 1.1.2" and combines them in version "SMGW Version 1.2".

Sicherheitsvorgaben / Security TargetDas SMGW Integrationsmodul, Version 1.0 wurde um einen CDMA-WAN-Kommunikationsadapter, der nicht zum EVG gehört, ergänzt.
Weiterhin wurde ein nicht zum EVG gehöriger powerWAN-Ethernet-Kommunikationsadapter ergänzt. Diese Ergänzung führte zu einer geänderten Spannungsversorgung im EVG.
Letztlich wurden die Handbücher um die Beschreibung der neuen Kommunikationsadapter ergänzt und die Auslieferungsprozedur in einem Detail verändert.
The SMGW Integrationsmodul, Version 1.0 was changed to include a CDMA WAN communication adapter, which is not part of the TOE.
Furthermore, a powerWAN-Ethernet communication adapter was added in the TOE environment, which lead to a changed TOE power supply unit.
Finally, the guidance documentation was updated to reflect the new communication adapters and to include a minor change in the delivery procedure.
