Es sind eine Reihe von verbesserten Penetrationstests durchgeführt worden, was teilweise zu verschärften Auflagen in der Guidance geführt hat. Zudem haben die Handbücher für den Nutzer ein Update erfahren.

Der Evaluationsgegenstand (EVG) ist der Infineon Smart Card IC (Security Controller) M7791 B12 mit optionaler Software Bibliothek SCL v1.01.009 und mit spezieller IC Dedicated Software. Der EVG stellt eine 16-bit CPU-Architektur mit proprietären Erweiterungen des Instruction Sets bereit. Die Hauptkomponenten des Core Systems sind die CPU (Central Processing Unit), die MMU (Memory Management Unit) und die MED (Memory Encryption/Decryption Unit). Der Controller ist imstande über die kontaktlose Schnittstelle mit der Außenwelt zu kommunizieren.
Der EVG besteht aus Hardwareanteilen, Firmwareanteilen und einem Softwareanteil sprich der kryptographischen Bibliothek SCL, welche bestimmte Funktionalitäten für die Smartcard Embedded Software bereitstellt.
The Target of Evaluation (TOE) is Infineon smart card IC (Security Controller) M7791 B12 with optional Software Library SCL v1.01.009 and with specific IC dedicated software. The IC is intended to be used in smart cards for particularly security-relevant applications. The TOE provides a real 16-bit CPU-architecture with proprietary enhancements in the instruction set. The major components of the core system are the CPU (Central Processing Unit), the MMU (Memory Management Unit) and MED (Memory Encryption/Decryption Unit). The controller is able to communicate using the contactless interface.
The TOE consists of hardware parts, the firmware parts and the software part that is the cryptographic library SCL, which provides certain functionality to the Smartcard Embedded Software.
