Der Evaluierungsgegenstand (EVG) ist die Basiskomponente der Software Governikus. Governikus als Teil der Virtuellen Poststelle des Bundes stellt als zentrales Kommunikations-Gateway Sicherheitsdienste für die gesicherte Kommunikation zwischen Behörden und externen Kommunikationspartnern (Bürger, Wirtschaft und andere Behörden) bereit. Die Basiskomponente stellt als zentrale Komponenten folgende Funktionalitäten zur Verfügung: Unterstützung bei der Erzeugung qualifizierter elektronischer Batchsignaturen, mathematische Prüfung qualifizierter elektronischer Signaturen (Verifikation) und die Statusprüfung qualifizierter Zertifikate (Validierung).
The TOE is the base component of the software product Governikus. Governikus is part of the Virtuelle Poststelle des Bundes and provides services to secure the communication between the administration and external communication parties (citizens, business partners or other administrative offices). The base component implements the following functionalities: Support for the creation of qualified electronic signatures, mathematical verification of qualified electronic signatures and validation of qualified certificates including the check of the certificate status.
