A Secure Messenger (SM) is a producttype used for the secure exchange of data classified "VS-NfD" between devices such as smartphones or PCs. To achieve this, the SM provides end-to-end encrypton between devices, also referred to as endpoints. SM are mainly, but not exclusively, used in mobile and desktop infrastructures. Communication is typically possible not only between two devices, but also between groups of devices, i.e. gropup conferencing, multiple devices of the same user group, or group messaging.
