The current state of cyber security is particularly important to the everyday work of entities in the realms of business and public administration -- and especially to critical infrastructures. In the worst case, the threat posed by malware can quickly affect an entire organisation's ability to communicate, exchange data, and maintain its business processes (to name just a few examples). This is why the BSI keeps a constant eye on the current situation and takes both preventive and reactive measures to meet the challenge of ensuring information security.
